Layered Lettuce Salad - You Can Thank Me Later

I've got too many things swirling around in my head for a proper post tonight but I will offer you a recipe.  If you have any kind of warm weather barbecue, brunch, picnic, whatever to which you are required to bring a dish?  Bring this.

Layered Lettuce Salad

1. Small head of iceberg lettuce, chopped
2. One cup celery, diced
3. One 10 oz. package of frozen peas, uncooked
4. Three eggs, hard boiled and chopped
5. One cup bell pepper (any color), chopped
6. Four green onions, chopped
7. 3 oz. jar of bacon bits
Four ounces cheddar cheese, grated.

Dressing:  Two cups mayonnaise, Two tablespoons sugar, One quarter cup milk.  Whisk to combine.

In a glass 9x13 dish, layer ingredients 1-7 in the order listed.  Spread on dressing.  Top with cheese.  Cover and refrigerate overnight.

If you're feeling especially generous then bring recipe cards to the party.  Otherwise, just brace yourself for the compliments.
