His hand met her thigh like a magnet.  It was a playful gesture but her eyes reflected like gasoline and he was the match.  He left it there too long not long enough and the air around them seemed to ripple from the heat.

They stood in the parking lot at the end of the night.  He continued a conversation she half listened to as she leaned against her car deciding whether or not to dare him closer.

She could not shake the feeling of his skin slick on her tongue.  The back of his head tight in her hands.  His thumb on her throat.

* * * *

It almost felt real.
